April 12th Block Party!
Triangle Grace Church, in partnership with Open Table Ministry, will be hosting a Block Party on April 12 in the parking lot just outside of our offices in downtown Durham. It's going to be such a fun event including breakfast, games, and music, along with access to showers and HAIRCUTS for our unsheltered neighbors!
We need your help! Put it on your calendar, and volunteer sign up information will be come closer to the event. Volunteer opportunities include helping with breakfast, organizing and leading games (like corn hole, etc.), and music for the event (preferably live music - CALLING ALL MUSICIANS!) ALSO, we invite EVERYONE to just come and hang out, we're going to have a lot of fun!
If you would like to help out with this event, but are not available to volunteer your time or come and hang out, we are also in need of donations to cover the cost of food and renting the space. If interested, please email nicole.mcdonald@opentableministry.org for details.

Walk in Their Shoes 5K and Fun Run
Our 15th annual Walk in Their Shoes 5K Walk and Fun Run will be held Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Southern Boundaries Park in Durham (100 3rd Fork Rd, Durham NC 27707). Walk in Their Shoes is a self-timed out-and-back 5K walk or run along the beautiful Third Fork Creek Trail.
Registration is FREE - however, donations are welcome and registering at the $45 level or more entitles you to one free T-shirt and swag bag! On-site registration, t-shirt pickup, and other festivities begin at 9:00am. Event kicks off at 10am. All in-person participants are eligible for our door prizes!
This year's fun community event will feature Will & Pops Food Truck, great prizes, and Batalá, Durham's premiere Afro-Brazilian reggae drum band! All proceeds will go to benefit the homeless community of Durham!
