Free Store
We provide a "Free Store" every Tuesday morning, where our neighbors without homes are able to enjoy a cup of coffee and a warm shower (thank you, Fresh Start Durham!) while they collect fresh changes of clothing, shoes, coats, toiletries, and other practical items. In 2023, 1,433 of our neighbors visited the Free Store, and we distributed more than 27,000 items.
Walk in Their Shoes 5K and Fun Run
Our 15th annual Walk in Their Shoes 5K Walk and Fun Run will be held Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Southern Boundaries Park in Durham (100 3rd Fork Rd, Durham NC 27707). Walk in Their Shoes is a self-timed out-and-back 5K walk or run along the beautiful Third Fork Creek Trail.
Registration is FREE - however, donations are welcome and registering at the $45 level or more entitles you to one free T-shirt and swag bag! On-site registration, t-shirt pickup, and other festivities begin at 9:00am. Event kicks off at 10am. All in-person participants are eligible for our door prizes!
This year's fun community event will feature Will & Pops Food Truck, great prizes, and Batalá, Durham's premiere Afro-Brazilian reggae drum band! All proceeds will go to benefit the homeless community of Durham!

2024 Block Party
Triangle Grace Church, in partnership with Trinity UMC and Open Table Ministry, will be hosting a Block Party on October 12 in the parking lot just outside of our offices in downtown Durham. It's going to be such a fun event including breakfast, games, and music, along with access to showers and HAIRCUTS for our unsheltered neighbors!
We need your help! Put it on your calendar, and sign up now to come and help us make this event a fun and engaging environment for our friends. We need volunteers to help with breakfast, organizing and leading games (like corn hole, etc.), and music for the event (preferably live music - CALLING ALL MUSICIANS!) ALSO, we invite EVERYONE to just come and hang out, we're going to have a lot of fun!

Communion and Conversation
Join us on Wednesdays at noon for Communion and Conversation, in partnership with Trinity United Methodist Church. This is a time of weekly fellowship with our neighbors, both business professionals and unsheltered friends alike, to come together over the Lord's Table. Come join us to experience it for yourself!
